The Collage teapot edited by Serax is based on a perfect balance between material, shape and proportions. In the designer's mind, tableware can serve as a decoration rather than being stowed after use.
Drawing inspiration from Japanese creations, Giel Dedeurwaerder and Brent Neve have devised solid acacia cups (to be ordered separately)and a cast iron teapot. The combination of warm wood and indestructible cast iron gives the service the lasting, functional and aesthetic character that the duo aspired.
These qualities were crowned by a victory at the Henry Van de Velde Awards 2019, in the Habitat category.
